Alright, folks, gather 'round, because if there's one thing we love more than a perfectly poured espresso martini, it's hearing from you – our incredible pack. March 2026 brought in some seriously glowing reviews, and honestly, they tasted almost as good as our Werewolf Nugs. We're talking real stories, real cravings, and folks rediscovering their favorite haunts.
Take Howard Ruiz, for example. He dropped by after five years away from San Diego, and what’s the first thing he does? He heads straight for our doors. "Happy to find that after 5 years this place is still a great spot for breakfast/brunch," he said. He even name-dropped our Homer Cakes – our glorious, guilty pleasure – confirming they're as tasty as ever. That’s the kind of loyalty that warms our werewolf hearts!
It’s reviews like these that remind us why we pour our souls into every dish and every craft cocktail. We know there are a lot of restaurants in downtown San Diego, and plenty of other places claiming to have the best breakfast San Diego has to offer. But when someone like Howard, who’s seen it all, comes back and finds us just as good, if not better, that’s the real win.
Then there’s Simon Eats Too Much (love the handle, Simon!). He hit us up on Valentine's Day, and honestly, we appreciate his candor. While we're proud to be among the best restaurants in Gaslamp SD for unique eats, he pointed out we're definitely more 'sports bar vibe' than 'fancy date night.' And he’s not wrong! We’re about good times, great food, and letting loose. Did he love the food? Absolutely. He raved about our Pork Belly Benedict – calling it the "best Eggs Benedict I’ve ever had" – and gave a shout-out to our California Burrito, noting the fair prices for a filling, tasty lunch. So while it might not be a quiet, candlelit affair, it's certainly a spot to grab some of the best brunch San Diego has to offer before hitting the Gaslamp Quarter.
And what about those nocturnal creatures among you? Sarah Long highlighted our "fun karaoke crowd," and Charlie gave a nod to our "terrific espresso martini." Look, we know when the sun goes down, you're searching for the best bars in the Gaslamp District and bars in Gaslamp Quarter San Diego. Well, from 9 PM to 1 AM, we transform into San Diego’s top destination for karaoke San Diego. Our stage sees everything from power ballads to pop anthems, and Larry, our legendary bartender, is usually shaking up something magnificent for you.
